Ladies and gentlemen members of Board’s Robert F. Kennedy Foundation:

The Special Committee of the Moroccan Sahara in Europe, all associations and Non Government Organizations, has heard with great disappointment the decision to discern the prize of human rights, by your Board’s Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center, to Mrs. Aminatou HAIDAR, pseudo activist for human rights in provinces of the south of Morocco.

Our Committee militates and takes part in the world and particularly in Europe in the field of defenses of human rights. We carry a great importance to the cause of the families sequestered by Polisario on the Algerian ground. Several worldwide organizations with like HCR, Amnesty International and the World food program as well as the international committee of the Red Cross have not ceased claiming, for thirty two years, the identification and the census of these families. They noted the obviousness: the Algerian authorities by using their mercenaries make very to block the project of autonomy of the provinces of the south proposed by Morocco and supported by the international community.

These families, Ladies and gentlemen, live under conditions are the least thing than one can say lamentable. The Late John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy by creating the program of the regiments of peace in 1961 a humane structure against the discrimination in the countries underdeveloped which until now works perfectly have delivered to us, all, a message that to defend the equality and justice. Mrs. Aminatou HAIDAR compromised this message and does nothing but sows the hatred and the feeling of the vendetta in the provinces of the south of our country Morocco

Ms. Aminatou Haidar, which your board has designated for the prize, carries a false testimony, false allegations and in no case she is cannot be regarded as an activist for human rights. This woman is devoid of any qualms in supporting separatists. She encourages, and deliberately so, the terrorist groups that undermine the security of the Maghreb region and the whole Mediterranean area.

On behalf of these families sequestered. On behalf of the freedom which claims these children who are their majority, unfortunately, are deported in the camp military of Cuba, these men and women imprisoned, we oppose extremely this designation of Mrs. Aminatou Haidar. The woman, who continues to carry the message of terrorists in a region in boiling, does not deserve this promotion. It is counterproductive and goes against the noble message we left the late Robert F. Kennedy.

For these reasons, we ask you to re-examine this undue decision. It is unjust towards these families which we defend and of which we do not cease carrying their hope. We have great regard at your Foundation and we are attracted for all the causes which it defends.  Mrs. Aminatou HAIDAR by defending a false cause in its country, Morocco, cannot have the recognition and the regard of a foundation that continues to convey the message of peace and stability in the world.
